Join the Fight for Grand Rapids Taxpayers by helping to elect Dan Koorndyk for Kent County Commission on Tuesday, November 2.
Economic development to bring about new jobs is evermore important to our area. As Kent County Commissioner, Dan will use all the tools available to our county government to create an environment calculated to produce jobs in our city.
Senior Citizens in need should have access to County provided assistance services. As Commissioner Dan will make sure more Seniors can stay independent and in their homes. He will make sure all the Senior Mileage services are more readily available to those who need them including prescription drug assistance, home repairs, transportation, counseling, legal, and medical assistance.
Children and Families should have easy access to all the Health and Human Services available. Dan will advocate for the Kent School Services Network so these critical protections of our children can be delivered in our schools, while boosting attendance and achievement.
The county MUST reduce the cost of county government. Dan will work for money saving results in intergovernmental cooperation and consolidation of services. This daily mission will include accountability for finding saving through technology, not bigger government.
Dan knows our County can provide high quality services and protection that all its citizens have come to expect from their government. Dan will make sure this happens for all the Grand Rapids residents of the county.

Neighbors,
Please look over my past and present involvement in our community. If elected, I will work hard to bring this passion for community service, involvement, and leadership to the board of commissioners. I have received many different Kent County board appointments allowing me to have a broad background and understanding of how the county works to deliver its services to all of our citizens.
I was humbled to be elected three times to the Board of Commissioners, and serve as Vice Chair of the Commission in 2006. That skill along with all my past experience put me in the best position to get things done for the people of the 18th district in Grand Rapids.
I have always been more of a worker than a talker. I have worked as a member of numerous community, school, and neighborhood groups to help make our area a better place to live for all of our families and children. As a commissioner, I chaired the committee which formed the West Michigan Sports Commission, I championed diversifying our appointed boards, and I worked to help senior citizens stay independent and in their homes.
Please read through my campaign website to see what I have done, and will do as your elected representative to the Kent County Board of Commissioners.
Thank you for allowing me to serve,
